Mowi Nutrition – Quality Specialist
Mowi Nutrition is strengthening our team and seeking a Quality Specialist in Goleniów!
Mowi Nutrition Goleniów Sp. z o. o., is looking for a Quality Specialist to enhance our team. The position is based in Goleniów, Poland, some travel activity can be expected.
Mowi Nutrition is Mowi’s global unit for value creation based on rest raw materials from farmed salmon. Our value chain includes procurement, production, sales and shippment. We currently have production facilities in Norway and Poland, with several exciting projects under development. Our main products are salmon oil and salmon meal, which are sold globally to food-, feed- and pet food-markets. Our annual turnover is approximately 100 million EUR.
About the Job
As a Quality Specialist, you will be an important part of our team in Mowi Nutrition, with special responsibility and focus on the quality at the productionsite in Goleniów. You will be our «at site and in the prodcution quality person» in Goleniów. Supporting the Quality Manager in ensuring high and correct quality at all stages of the production of Salmon Oil and Salmon Meal.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high Quality level/standard in production
- Be central to our efforts in promoting a safe food and feed culture
- Risk assessment related to food and feed safety (HACCP)
- Excecute regular cleaning controls and inspect documentation with focus on Quality and food-/ feed-safety
- Documentation and deviation handling
- Prepare and send samples for analytical purpose according to analytical program
- Internal and external audits (GMP+, MarinTrust, SMETA, etc.), supplier audits
- Internal training as; Quality- and HACCP-training
- Support the team
- Serve as a resource regarding requirements from authorities, regulations, and customers
Desired Qualifications and Attributes
- Eager and positive to be involved in the production and ensure quality
- Good knowledge of risk assessment and Food-/Feed-safety
- Detail-oriented and thorough, systematic, structured, and solution-oriented
- Relevant education and/or experience in product quality, laboratories, food safety, or nutrition hygiene
- Experience with regulatory requirements and EU legislation
- Strong communication skills in English and Polish, both written and verbal
- Independent with the ability to take on responsibility
- Good computer skills - Excel, Word, and general experience with ERP-systems
- Works well in teams, also across disciplines; production, logistics etc.
